As sessions continue in what will be my final year of family work, I find myself often looking back at how much evolution has happened over the last 5+ years of running this business. I’ve watched this family grow, one beautiful daughter at a time, and my skill grew alongside them. I met the Dad through my job as a nurse and he is still one of the nicest colleagues I’ve ever had. So of course I wasn’t surprised when I saw how loving he is as a husband and father. I also wasn’t surprised in the slightest when I learned how kind, honest, and down to earth his wife is. (She also has the best knack for outfit planning and has nailed the family look every for single session.) They have been so gracious and supportive of my journey, and I’ve been honored each time they’ve chosen me to capture theirs. All the way back since our first one in 2015, every session has been a different kind of sweet. The degree to which these 2 are dedicated to their daughters is inspirational. And their girls are wonderful. Each one of them has an amazing, unique personality. The oldest is really into princesses and when I asked her to strike a princess pose, she immediately crouched down and exclaimed Nala was her favorite. The middle daughter is a dance (and barrette) enthusiast who’s wildly cooperative when it comes to photos, and always has been ever since she was a toddler. She balances the feistiness of the youngest, who 100% runs the show and had us in stitches for most of this session. This family definitely holds a special place in my heart and will be among the ones I’ll miss photographing the most! xo
